Indian agrochemical firm Insecticides India Ltd (IIL) recently reported a 12.73 per cent fall in the net profit at Rs 13.84 crore for the second quarter ended on September 30, despite a jump in income.
The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 15.86 crore for the same period last year.
Total income during the period under review increased by 48 per cent to Rs 340.32 crore as against Rs 230.02 crore in the same quarter of last year, the company said.
Profits of the company came down as expenses rose by 55 per cent to Rs 313.10 crore in the second quarter of current fiscal against Rs 202.27 crore in the same period last year.
The company has five manufacturing facilities, two each in Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat and one in Rajasthan.
