AgroPages-Syngenta Crop Protection buys Agrostar Sofia-Agricultural news

Bulgaria’s anti-trust authority gave Swiss agrochemicals company Syngenta Crop Protection the go-ahead to acquire local agrochemicals wholesaler Agrostar Sofia.

Crop protection, vegetable seeds and fertilisers fetched more than BGN 24.5 million for the Bulgarian company in 2007, Syngenta said. Agrostar posted a profit of over BGN 3.1 million for the year.
