Brazil  will surpass the US in soybean production in the next 10 years, according to Outlook Fiespdata, an Agribusiness study with projections for 2023 released on September 16. It examined 18 agricultural commodities including corn, meat, dairy, cane sugar, sugar, ethanol and soybean.

The study made projections of domestic consumption, production, exports, imports, stocks and acreage. Despite some harvest loss caused by storms, for example, Brazilian soybeans should represent almost 50% of world exports. At this point, Brazil would be the world's largest supplier, at least it is what the projection from the Federation of Sao Paulo State Industries indicates.

"The results for the main products show the need to establish public policies that offer support and encourage the great productive potential Brazil has. If our current structure is already unsustainable, how our country will respond with 30% increase in grain and 20% in meat production?"Fiespand Center of Sao Paulo State Industries President, Paulo Skaf, pointed out.
