India CIBRC 342nd meeting approved 21 pesticide technicals registrations

The Indian Central Insecticides Board and Registration Committee (CIBRC) has approved the registrations of 21 pesticide technicals at the meeting of the Registration Committee held on Sep. 27, 2013, including 10 fungicides, 6 insecticides, 4 herbicides and 1 acaricides. For registration type, 9 products are the 9 (3) registrations (including 8 for export purpose), the other 12 product registrations belong to the 9 (4)-"Me-Too” registration.
United Phosphorus has received the most product registrations including 2 herbicides, 1 fungicides and 1 acaricides, followed by Insecticides (India), three technical products.

9(3) registrations: This guideline is for registering a new pesticide (technical grade or formulation) or registering a new import source of technical grade pesticide or first time indigenous manufacture of technical grade pesticide or formulation. This is a permanent registration and does not require any renewal.
9(4) registrations: This is Me-too registration for indigenous manufacture of technical grade pesticide and formulations and import of pesticides from already registered source.
