The U.S. Environmental Protection Authority is calling for submissions on an application to allow the aerial spraying of the herbicide GF-2574, also known as Tordon PastureBoss (active ingredients: aminopyralid + triclopyr), used on pastures to control broadleaf weeds.
GF-2574 is already approved for use in New Zealand, but at present it can only be applied from the ground.
Dow AgroSciences has applied to have the existing approval changed to allow it to be sprayed from the air.
The deadline for submission is 27 November 2013.
