Category:Plant growth regulators
The US EPA has proposed to approve Fine Agrochemicals' plant growth regulator (PGR) Blush with the active ingredient prohydrojasmon(PDJ), for fruit colour development and enhancement on red apples. The US EPA received the registration application in December 2012. The agency has opened the public comments for 15 days until October 3, 2013.
PDJ is a synthetic plant growth regulator that is structurally similar and functionally identical to jasmonic acid (JA), a naturally occurring plant regulator present in all vascular plants. PDJ is expected to behave in the same manner and have the same low toxicity profile as JA.
