Chinese agrochemical company
Huasheng Chemical has been granted the registration approval for its fungicide 98% dodine technical from Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA). As per Chinese Pesticide Registration Watch, Huasheng Chemical is the first company approved for dodine technical in China. The product is exclusively for export according to Huangsheng.
Dodine is a foliar fungicide with protective and some curative activities. It is used for control of various fungal diseases on fruit, vegetables, nut fruit, ornamental plant, and shade trees. Dodine’s action mode is to destruct cell permeability, leading to extravasation and cell death.
Dodine was first developed by Kenogard and introduced in U.S by American Cyanamid Company (now BASF) in 1956. Chimac Agriphar acquired dodine form Aventis in 2000. Dodine has long been marketed by several companies but has insignificant market share. It has already received re-registration from EU.
