NovaSource, the crop protection business unit of Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. (TKI) recently announced the expansion of its international organization and the establishment of a new position in Latin America.
Veteran crop protection professionals Alex Kroneberg and Alfredo Pelaez have joined the NovaSource crop protection team.
Expansion of the Latin America team at NovaSource is a result of the company’s recent acquisition of the Sevin® brand agricultural insecticide (carbaryl). The move also supports the ongoing NovaSource business objective of enhancing its presence in Central and South America.
Alex Kroneberg will represent NovaSource as International Business Director, Central America, the Caribbean, Colombia, and Ecuador. Kroneberg was previously with FMC as its business director for the same countries. He’s held prior positions with BASF, Rhone Poulenc, Union Carbide, and Rohm and Haas. Kroneberg resides with his family in San Jose, Costa Rica. He will report to Peter Barrows, Director of International Business for NovaSource.
Alfredo Pelaez will serve NovaSource as an International Business Consultant. He was previously with AMVAC as its international business director. Previously, Pelaez held management positions with O. M. Scotts and FMC. Pelaez and his family reside in southern California.
“Alfredo’s extensive experience in the international ag business arena will add depth to our ongoing expansion into international business,” said Barrows. “His focus will be on special projects and certain region-specific initiatives. Both Alfredo and Alex bring many years of valuable insight and success to the NovaSource team,” Barrows added.
NovaSource acquires, develops and markets crop protection products for niche agricultural uses globally. Its product portfolio includes Sevin® brand carbaryl insecticide, Surround® and Purshade® heat stress protectants, Sectagon® soil fumigants and Sinbar®, Linex®, and Lorox® agricultural herbicides.
