Dow AgroScience has recently released a statement stating continuous fight against the illegal producing and selling of herbicide florasulam in China, which was first developed by Dow AgroScience. In China only those companies which get the registration approval of the specific pesticides are allowed to legally produce and sell the products.
The triazolopyrimidine herbicide florasulam is used for broad-spectrum control of broad leaf weed in cereals. It is particularly efficient to those hard-to-control weeds including Galium aparine and Lithospermum arvense L.
Dow AgroScience received Chinese registration of florasulam 97% technical and SC in Jan. 2001. The company also received Chinese registration of florasulam and 2,4-D isooctyl ester SE mixture product.
As per China Pesticide Registration Watch, there are four other Chinese companies including Jiangsu Agrochem Laboratory Co Ltd,Shandong United Pesticide Industry,YongNong Biosciences, and Rainbow Chemical which have already registered florasulam technical product.
