Chinese agrochemical company Lier Chemical has received the registration approval for its brand new plant activator methiadinil (Chinese common name approved by National Pesticide Standardization and Technical Committee). The registrations were seperately issued for technical and SC formulation to control tobacco virus disease.
"The development of Methiadinil is a successful breakthrough in the field", introduced by Lier Chemcial. Methiadinil SC is also the first plant activator product with its own proprietary intellectual property rights in China.
Plant activator can enable the plants to resist disease by inducing the acquired systemic resistance in plants. The commercialized varieties includes diazosulfide(BTH), probenazole, Validamycin A, and tiadinil. Lier Chemical has been collaboratively working with Nankai University on the research project, and discovered that Methiadinil has better activity in inducing TMV resistance in tobacco which can be used to control tobacco viruses.
Lier Chemical is now planning for the registration in overseas market.
