Valagro Group: Prem Warrior appointed Chief Business Development Officer

ItalyA new appointment at Valagro headquarters: as from July 15th, Prem Warrior has taken on the role of Chief Business Development Officer, working directly under the CEO, Giuseppe Natale.
In the past, Prem Warrior worked as Senior Program Officer and Senior Regional Advisor (South Asia) at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He joined the Valagro Group in 2012, first as part of the International Advisory Board, and later as a member of the Board of Directors. The appointment of Prem Warrior forms part of a strategy to develop the scientific research activities promoted by the company in support of international growth in its key markets. In particular, Prem Warrior will be collaborating with the Business Innovation Team to develop new lines of research which focus specifically on fermentation and bio-control.

With his particular passion and commitment, he will dedicate his efforts to the development of new technologies designed to improve crop production and to answer our global need for food security”, stated Giuseppe Natale, CEO of the Valagro Group, a world leader in the bio-stimulants market. He continued: “His entry into the Group has confirmed our ambition to continue to strengthen our presence on the international stage by means of specialised research and development activities which promise important results over the short to medium term”.
Before he joined the Gates Foundation, Prem Warrior fulfilled an executive role at Abbott Laboratories and Sumitomo Chemical Company, directing a team of international technicians and managing external partnerships. Warrior has many years’ experience in the whole area of discovering, developing and marketing products for plant protection, including growth regulators. He has filed over 50 patents and has published more than 50 scientific papers on agriculture and public health.
