China approved 21 pesticide ais registrations in January 2013

The Chinese Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals, Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA) has approved the registrations of 21 pesticide active ingredients in January, 2013 (excluding the renewal of registration), covering 15 herbicides, 2 fungicides , 3 insecticides and 1 Plant growth regulator.

In terms of registration type, there are 18 formal registrations (5-year validity), 5 of them only for export, the remained 3 belong to interim registration (1-year validity), 1 of them only for export .
Furthermore, Jiangsu Changlong Chemicals CO Ltd received the registration approval for herbicide methabenzthiazuron ( 96%TC), Shaanxi Jialunduo Crop Science Co.,Ltd received the registration approval for a fungicide sphaerotheca amyloliquefaciens TK, both of which were registered in China for the first time. In addition, Shandong Cynda Chemical has got the registration of pyraflufen-ethyl 95%TC, becoming the second company to register this product after Nihon Nohyaku Co., Ltd.
