After a year and a half of research on new sources for humic substances, CODIAGRO has launched the Biorad-20®, an innovative soluble liquid humic extract which provides interesting properties to both soil and crops.
To date, the main source for soluble humic extracts was leonardite; a source widely recognised for its quality for the manufacture of products rich in humic acids, essential for a good structuring of the soil. The fulvic acid content of leonardite extracts is relatively low, but their biggest handicap is their high pH, oscillating between 11 and 14 due to the fact that the leonardite is solubilised with caustic soda or potash. Such an alkaline solution usually causes problems in irrigation systems and a low compatibility with fertilisers or phytosanitary products.
Biorad-20® delivers the superb properties of leonardite-sourced humic substances while preventing the problems normally associated with them and optimising the advantages of their plant origin.
The source for Biorad-20® is plant material humified in a very specific climate zone of the planet. This provides advantages, such as a larger than average content of humic substances and a slightly acid pH (optimal for fertirrigation). Biorad-20 also contributes to the strengthening of the root and stimulates the plants' self-defence mechanisms, especially against virus, bacterial and some fungal diseases. All of this is achieved without losing an essential quality: a high solubility which allows for its use on any irrigation system.
Biorad-20® is the only humic extract containing the patented AMEC® molecule.
