Product Registration: Four New Environmentally Friendly Formulations, Ten Core Crops

Recently, Anhui Jiuyi Agricultural Co., Ltd. ("Jiuyi") has achieved new breakthroughs in pesticide innovation by successfully obtaining registration certificates for four prothioconazole formulation products. These include the 75% prothioconazole WDG (PD20240058), 480 g/L prothioconazole SC (PD20240056), 250 g/L prothioconazole EC (PD20240057), and an expanded registration for the 30% prothioconazole OD (PD20190005) against Sclerotinia stem rot in rapeseed.

So far, the registered crops and controlled diseases of Jiuyi's prothioconazole products fully cover major diseases in three core crops: wheat scab, powdery mildew, and rust; peanut white sclerotium disease (Sclerotium rolfsii); and rapeseed Sclerotinia stem rot. This reinforces its dual leadership in prothioconazole R&D and registration applications, demonstrating its position as an industry leader.

Jiuyi's prothioconazole is currently under registration for crops such as soybeans, rice, corn, cotton, sunflowers, and cowpeas. In the future, the four environmentally friendly formulations will cover ten core crops, providing protection for global food crops.

Production Capacity Breakthrough: 5,000-Tons Technical Grade Project Fully Operational, Global Supply Chain Stability Upgraded

In a simultaneous major development, Jiuyi's 5,000-tons annual prothioconazole technical grade synthesis project has successfully passed safety production certification, transitioning from trial production to full-scale commercial production. Since its launch in July 2022, the project has undergone efficient construction and rigorous testing, with monthly production now stably exceeding 500 tons to fully meet domestic and international market demands.

As a benchmark for highly effective broad-spectrum fungicides, prothioconazole has become a key pillar for global agricultural green development due to its exceptional disease control capabilities. Through the deep integration of independent R&D and lean production, Jiuyi has promoted its products over 200 million mu (1 mu ≈ 0.0667 hectares) domestically, significantly improving the control of major diseases such as wheat scab. With EU equivalence certification, its products are exported to global markets including Europe, Australia, South America, Southeast Asia, and Africa, while accelerating market access in high-end markets such as the United States.

International Standard Setter: FAO Certification Leads Industry Influence

In 2024, Jiuyi achieved another milestone: its developed prothioconazole international standard (FAO Specification 745/TC) was successfully approved and released by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in one attempt without supplementary information, making it the first Chinese company to accomplish this. As a globally authoritative certification system for pesticide quality, this FAO standard not only internationally recognizes Jiuyi's technical grade quality and production practices but also drives China's agrochemical industry from a "follower" to a "rule-maker."

Additionally, the company successfully bid for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs' "2024–2026 National Disaster Relief Pesticide Reserve Project," with prothioconazole listed as a national strategic material for disaster prevention and relief, further consolidating its critical role in ensuring food security.
