Brazilian company Ourofino Agrociência has advised AgroPages about the launch of Dotte, its new premium fungicide. The new technology was developed by Ourofino Agrociência's research and development (R&D) department, with an "exclusive and reimagined formulation" in concentrated suspension (SC).

The systemic fungicide Dotte is composed of Prothioconazole and Picoxystrobin, active ingredients from the chemical groups Triazolinthione and Strobilurin.. The mode of action (MoA) involves inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis and mitochondrial respiration, activating at different stages of the disease infection process.

According to  Ourofino Agrociência, the innovation was specially developed to combat Asian rust and leaf spot diseases in soybean crops and should be used preventively before disease symptoms appear. They state that the product reduces the severity of disease and increases plant productivity.

Furthermore, Ourofino Agrociência notes that Dotte is "essential for preventing fungal occurrence, ensuring lasting control, even under adverse conditions." In this context, Dotte emerges as an "innovative response to the demands of Brazilian farmers, combining high performance in disease control with characteristics that promote sustainability in the field."

The Brazilian company revealed to AgroPages that  Dottestands out for its "high adhesiveness, which ensures greater retention on leaves," reducing losses from rain, and for its gradual absorption, promoting selectivity and improving its performance in the field. Additionally, it features photoprotection, preventing the degradation of active ingredients by UV rays.

Another quality of the premium fungicide Dotte highlighted by Ourofino Agrociência  is its systemic action, which allows effective performance throughout different parts of the plant. They emphasize that soybean diseases can cause significant damage to crops, including productivity losses.

Kaiê Miranda, Ourofino Agrociência.jpeg"Its gradual absorption and low degradation are differentiators that preserve the fungicide's action for longer periods, minimizing losses and maximizing agronomic performance," noted Kaiê Miranda, product manager at Ourofino Agrociência. He adds that the launch of Dotte marks a milestone for the company, representing years of research focused on developing solutions adapted to Brazilian soil and climate particularities.

Dotte, the Brazilian company says, is a product that translates the mission of "reimagining agriculture" by combining high technology in a formulation designed for Brazil's phytosanitary challenges, being indicated for application during the soybean reproductive phase. "This strategy maximizes the product's potential, contributing to healthier and more productive crops," according to Ourofino Agrociência.

With initial registration for soybean crops, Dotte is also part of Ourofino Agrociência's strategy, which celebrates its 15th anniversary in August, to strengthen its portfolio with "high-performance and efficient products." In the future, they project that Dotte will have its label extended for application in other crops.

Ourofino Agrociência also revealed to AgroPages that the launch of Dotte represents the company's focus on the market for fungicides specially developed for tropical agriculture. The consistent growth of the global fungicide market is expected to reach $41.9 billion by 2032, with an annual growth rate of 7%, according to a Custom Market Insights report.
