Agrochemical Towards Net Carbon! Fuhua Chemical shows up at ARBON Neutrality Expo, winning its product carbon footprint certification

On June 5th, the 3rd Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo in Technologies, Products & Achievements was held at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, where Fuhua Chemical showed up at the Science & Technology Exhibition Stand, participating in the event of Agrochemical Towards Net Carbon: Green Manufacture & Supply Chain Innovation. On the event site, a ceremony of awarding of carbon footprint certificate to Fuhua Chemical was held.

Dr. Duan Yousheng, Assistant Secretary-General of CCPIA (China Crop Protection Industry Association) delivered a virtual address to the event. He says that in the context of the global climate governance and China’s carbon peaking and neutrality initiative, the pesticide industry, as an important contributor to the green development of agriculture, is facing urgent requirement of low-carbon-oriented transformative development. The low-carbon transformation of the pesticide industry is not only a requirement of technological innovation, but is more an undertaking of responsibility, for which the low-carbon development model of Fuhua Chemical has become an industry landmark.

Li Yuanshen, Assistant General Manager of Fuhua Chemical and Deputy General Manager of Fuhua Crop Science and Technology Business Unit, shared Fuhua Chemical’s green and low-carbon development practices. He said that Fuhua Chemical has committed itself to crop protection for more than 20 years, and rooted the green development idea in the minds of all employees. Guided by the carbon peaking and neutrality initiative, in this year, Fuhua Chemical has welcomed a key achievement in its green and low-carbon development milestone - Glyphosate and methane chloride carbon footprint accounting being TÜV SÜD-certified. This certification not only brings to Fuhua Chemical the trust of international giants such as Syngenta, but also enables the world’s recognition of the green practices of the ″Made in China″ production activities.

″Carbon neutrality is not only a climate issue, but also an economic and technological one; Fuhua Chemical has well prepared to cooperate with all partners in leading the green development towards standardization and in building consensus on an allied carbon reduction to make contribution to the global green development, which is a part in the ″Made in China″ production activities, says Li Yuanshen.

Huang Yanxiang, CEO of CarbonNewture, gave a presentation entitled Green and Low-carbon Development Trend of Agrochemical Industry.
