Asfertglobal has exclusively announced to AgroPages the launch of Kiplant BT-KURE, a biological insecticide designed for the control of lepidopteran pests, further expanding the company’s portfolio of biotechnological solutions available in Portugal and Spain.
According to Asfertglobal, Kiplant BT-KURE is an ″innovative bioinsecticide, specially developed for the effective control of pests such as caterpillars, grapevine moths, and fruit worms.″ Authorized for use on over 50 crops—including vineyards, fruit trees, vegetables, and olive groves—it represents a ″safe and technically robust solution for sustainable protection.″
Asfertglobal recommends the new biological insecticide for Integrated Production Programs and Organic Farming Systems. The company highlights that Kiplant BT-KURE stands out for its ″high selectivity and compatibility with beneficial insects and pheromones, enabling integrated and balanced crop protection.″
Its distinctiveness, according to Asfertglobal, lies in its cutting-edge fermentation and formulation technology, which incorporates the exclusive Bacillus thuringiensis strain PB54—recognized as both stable and highly effective. This ensures a high and balanced concentration of CRY and VIP protoxins, translating into a broad-spectrum insecticidal capacity and consistent performance, even under adverse conditions.
Additionally, the inclusion of ultraviolet protectors in the formulation shields the active components from degradation caused by solar radiation, extending the product’s persistence and efficacy after application.
The mode of action, through ingestion, activates toxins that paralyze the digestive system of caterpillars, preventing feeding and speeding the elimination of pests. Further, the high palatability of the formulation promotes rapid, effective, and selective action, without impacting beneficial organisms.
The launch of Kiplant BT-KURE, the company states, reinforces Asfertglobal’s strategy of providing innovative and sustainable solutions aligned with the challenges of the agricultural sector and increasingly stringent regulatory demands.
″Our commitment is to supply farmers with effective tools that ensure productivity, food safety, and respect for the environment,″ added Asfertglobal.
