Syngenta, a global leader in agricultural solutions, has just announced the expansion of its commercial partnership with Lar Cooperativa Agroindustrial, headquartered in Medianeira, Paraná.

Conducted through the SYNAP commercial platform, the operation – subject to CADE approval – aims to expand access to Syngenta technologies and solutions for farmers in Paraná and Santa Catarina through the reach and technical assistance provided by Lar. This is because, as a result of this move, the cooperative will assume management of the 19 Atua Agro stores in Paraná and Santa Catarina.

André Savino, President of Syngenta Crop Protection in Brazil, stated that ″our focus is to provide farmers with innovative technologies and solutions that deliver the highest productivity rates, combined with profitability and sustainability. We see a lot of strategic complementarity between Syngenta and Lar in this sense, which will bring growth to the agribusiness of the region as a whole″.

The stores in question are located in the North of Paraná, Campos Gerais, the Southwest, and the North of Santa Catarina. A direct benefit of this partnership for farmers who are customers of the Atua Agro network is the possibility that the network will also start to operate in receiving grains.

″We have excellent partners, such as cooperatives and resellers, which form a strong distribution network capable of promoting access to technologies, services, and support. Our strategy is to continue growing through these cooperatives and allied and select resellers. The movement with Lar will add to this direction,″ emphasized Savino. In addition, the SYNAP platform continues to operate with the anchors Dipagro, Agro Jangada, Agrocerrado, and Produtécnica in other regions of the country, meeting the specific needs of the retail of agricultural inputs in its area of influence, complementing the coverage of the partner network.

The operation was submitted to CADE on May 7 and is now awaiting approval from the agency for the completion of the transactions. The amounts involved in the negotiation will not be disclosed.
