ChinaOn April 25, 2025, Ethiprole 200 g/l SC formulation product from Yifan Biotech Group Co., Ltd. ("Yifan") has been publicized as the first formal registration in China. The product is primarily registered for controlling rice planthoppers in China.
Ethiprole, a broad-spectrum phenylpyrazole insecticide, disrupts the central nervous system (CNS) of insects by interfering with GABA-gated chloride channels, leading to mortality. It exhibits no cross-resistance with organophosphates, pyrethroids, or carbamates and is effective against chewing and piercing-sucking pests via foliar spray or seed treatment.
As a core strategic product of Yifan, Ethiprole will support the company's expansion into key markets like Asia-Pacific and South America, advancing its global deployment strategy.
