Ourofino Agrociência announced it has obtained the level 6 separation of manufacturing facilities for herbicides and insecticides production, according to the Contamination Prevention Standard 002 DuPont.

According to the company, this certification was obtained through changes implemented to increase security and quality of the factories in Uberaba, state of Minas Gerais, in Brazil.

To achieve this standard, Ourofino explained it has invested in uniforms and equipment of individual protection specific for a recommendation for the sectors of insecticides and herbicides. Specific lifters for each plant were also recommended with control and restriction of people movement and equipment between areas and structural adequacy in wardrobes.

“Increasing the level of separation between herbicide and insecticide plants of the factory in Uberaba is to qualify even more for production of innovative solutions, guaranteeing prevention from contamination and assurance of the products made. What attracts new possibilities are outsourced business and more efficiency in the field,” pointed out Janaína Costa, Quality Guarantee Coordinator at OurofinoAgrociência.

Jair Sunega, industrial director at the company, highlighted that there was a promotion of a “separation of unities of products and warehouses, with a minimum distance of one meter. We implemented a distance of at least two meters of height, besides separating the access of one unit to another. Now it is necessary to get out to a public highway before and pass through separate industrial gates.”

According to Ourofino, the procedure for obtaining of Level 6 started in November last year and was established through daily practices of prevention for the employees. “This standard just adds to the production of our solutions, as well as retains companies in the sector that already use or intend to use our factory for the production of outsourced solutions,” concludes Sunega.
