The Bolivian Executive Organ authorized, by decree, zero rating on agrochemical imports so that producers of the country can obtain them at lower costs.
“There is a decree that enables us to release duty-free agrochemical import, allowing us to reduce costs for small producers and to start direct purchase”, said minister of Rural Development and Land, Nemesia Achacollo.
She explained that with this regulation small producers will be able to buy goods through Insumos Bolivia and large companies, directly. “In several meetings we have received complaints because agrochemical increase is one of the causes preventing the broadening of the agricultural border”, she maintained.
