Ingredient：Picoxystrobin + benzovindiflupyr
Corteva Agriscience revealed to AgroPages that it has won the registration of the fungicide Vessarya (Picoxystrobin + Benzovindiflupyr) for the control of anthracnose, one of the main soybean diseases, which has a high incidence in Brazilian crops.
The product dispenses with the use of oil in applications, in addition to having high systemicity and translaminar effect, providing better absorption and less risk of washing by rain.
In addition to containing Benzovindiflupyr, the fungicide features Onmira™ Active technology that protects the plants and brings better results in controlling soybean diseases.
According to the manufacturer, the product becomes even more complete, contemplating the vast majority of diseases that affect soybean growers at the end of the crop cycle, in addition to acting on cotton, corn, and beans.
″Corteva has a complete portfolio of fungicides, and now Vessarya also controls anthracnose, one of the diseases that causes the most damage to soybeans,″ said Marcus Fiorini, Fungicides leader at Corteva Agriscience.
According to him, this evolution "reinforces the company's commitment to contribute to the evolution and prosperity of agriculture through an efficient fungicide to control the soybean disease complex."
Anthracnose is a disease caused by the fungus Colletotrichum Truncatum, which initially affects the seeds and spreads to other parts of the plant through wind and rain.
The appearance of the disease occurs with more incidence in conditions of high humidity, and visually it is perceived by black or brown spots on the stems, leaves, or pods, preventing the production of the grain.
In addition to anthracnose, Vessarya is efficient in controlling Asian rust, powdery mildew, Cercospora, and other pathogens common to the crop.
