AgroPages-EFSA approvel for Bayer CropScience's GM cotton-Agricultural news

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has announced to approve Bayer CropScience's genetically modified T304-40 cotton with insect-resistant and herbicide-tolerant, for import and food and feed uses.

Cotton T304-40 was developed to provide resistance to certain lepidopteran pests and tolerance to glufosinate ammonium-based herbicides. The Authority’s opinion on Bayer’s application for EU approval goes forward for consideration by the European Commission.
