67 pesticides registered by multinationals in China in 2012

Major agrochemical multinational companies have registered 67 pesticides in China in 2012, which including temporary registration and formal registration, according to the official data from the Chinese Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals of Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA).
The registered products include 24 herbicides, 20 fungicides, 20 insecticides, 2 acaricides and 1 nematicide. Syngenta got the largest number of registrations with 20 among the registrants, followed by Bayer CropScience, Dow AgroSciences and FMC with 8 registrations, respectively.
Some products were firstly registered by multinationals in China, they are: ametoctradin (98% TC) and ‘dimethomorph + ametoctradin’ (47% SC) from BASF Europe; cyantraniliprole (10% OFK, 93% TC) and picoxystrobin (97% TC, 22.50% SC, 250g/L SC) from DuPont; ‘fludioxonil + cyprodinil’ (62% WG) and 'thiamethoxam + fludioxonil + metalaxyl-M’ (25% FS,29% FS) from Syngenta; cyflumetofen (97% TC) from Otsuka AgriTechno and cyflumetofen (20% SC) from FMC.
