CAC2013 Briefing Session Held in Shanghai

On 21st October 2012, a briefing session was held in Shanghai on the forthcoming 14th China International Agrochemical and Crop Protection Exhibition (CAC2013) as organized by CCPIT Sub-council of Chemical Industry, having attracted the presence of some 70 Chinese domestic enterprises who show great interest in the world largest and most influential agrochemical exhibition.

In this March when CAC2012 was held, its organizer already declared the relocation of CAC2013 to the Shanghai New International Expo Center, which will be the new premises for the exhibition. The purpose of the briefing session held by CCPIT, at less than 4 months before its opening is to inform industry players of the progress of preparation work for the event.

The CCPIT management gave a presentation of the details of exhibition hall, service facilities around exhibition hall, the progress of preparation work and relevant activities which will take place during the exhibition, also arranged a site tour of the exhibition hall and the surrounding environment.

The organizer anticipates the exhibition area to reach 46,000m2, to be participated by nearly 1,000 enterprises across some 30 countries all over the world, which will be an increase by 30% over last year. The scope of exhibition will cover pesticide, chemical intermediate, novel fertilizer, machinery, packaging, apparatus, logistics, technical service and market consultancy.

It is worthy of note that the exhibition this time will include 2 new functional zones -- the “new product/technology presentation zone”, which provides prime enterprises and research institutions with opportunities of free release of new product/technology as well as the “agrochemical talents information distribution zone”, which serves as an convenient human resource platform for recommendation, discovery and selection of bright people.

Additionally the organizer will launch a CAC exhibition award initiative which includes 2 prizes -- CAC Recommended Vendor and CAC Good Design. The winners will be announced and awarded at the CAC2013 welcome dinner on the evening 25th March 2013.

During the event, the CAC2013-associated China International Agrochemical Conference Week will be held, which includes 5 conferences -- the 7th China International Forum on Development of Pesticide Industry, the 5th World Academic Meeting for the Development of Pesticide Technologies & Applications, the 3rd Beyond-Agriculture Seminar, the 2nd International Bio-Agrochemical Industry Development Forum and the 3rd China International Pesticide Security Management Seminar, where about 100 worldwide farm chemical specialists are invited to give lectures covering all industry issues of focus.

Ms Ma Chunyan, the vice-chairman of CCPIT said, “CAC got UFI certification in June this year, this is the only UFI certified international exhibition in agrochemical and crop protection industry; on the occasion of relocation of CAC to Shanghai New International Expo Center, CCPIT will make every effort to present you an upgraded CAC2013 with a new look.”
