China raises export tax on fertilizerqrcode

To protect domestic supplies and keep prices low for its farmers, China – the world's biggest producer of grain – will raise export taxes on fertilizers such as urea. Previous increases in Chinese export duties helped crop nutrient prices to hit records around the globe. The export tariff on urea is expected to increase from 135% to 185% this year.
