More approval decisions scheduled in USqrcode

The US EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) has scheduled a registration decision for Bayer CropScience’s new fungicide, fluopyram, for the third quarter of fiscal 2010. The other decisions so far scheduled for 2010 are for DuPont’s fungicide, flusilazole, and Nihon Nohyaku’s insecticide, tolfenpyrad, which are both long established in overseas markets.

1 schedule not finalised so decision date defaults to quarter of the PRIA (Pesticide Registration Improvement Act) due date.
The latest update of the OPP’s workplan for new active ingredient approvals shows virtually no changes to the previously issued schedule for fiscal 2009. The OPP still plans to make seven new ai registration decisions, but it has brought forward its planned decision forHelena’s herbicide, cumyluron, from the second quarter to the first quarter.
Registration decisions for two of the nine ais scheduled for fiscal 2008 were outstanding in mid-August. Decisions forArkema’s fungicide, dimethyl disulfide, and Bayer’s herbicide, thiencarbazone-methyl, are scheduled for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008, which ends on September 30th.
