Sipcam launched UMOSTART SUPER Zn in China

Sipcam Agro China announced its first launch of fertilizer UMOSTART SUPER Zn (N≥11%, P2O5≥50 %, Zn≥1 %) in China on the product workshop held on Feb. 16 in shanghai. The company has reached the deals with two agro-chemical trading companies based in Guangzhou and Beijing, which would help the construction of distribution networking separately in North and South of China.

UMOSTART has been mainly used in European countries on series of key crops from cereals to vegetables like wheat, rice and tomato, with an annual sales volume of 2 million tones. The most reliable strength is that it can promote utilizing efficiency of phosphorus resulting in roots and tillering increasing, strong stock and production promoting.

"UMOSTART is produced in our Italian plant, it is the first fertilizer product we are introducing to the farmer of China.” Mr. Geng, general manager of Spicam China introduced.

Phosphorus is one of three necessary nutrients to plant growth and development especially for the early development of every crop because it is involved in the ATP-ADP system that supply “energy” to the activity of the cells, whereas the average plants’ uptakes efficiency of Phosphorus is quite low with maximum of 15%. The reason is that when applied through a traditional fertiliser, phosphorus is blocked by the soil before the root system uptake can start.

There are three main plus of Umostart to solve uptake problems of Phosphorus. First of all, the granules of Umostart is quite tiny enable the quick inversely releasing of nutrient related to the square of the diameter. Second, Umostart can be in contact with the seed in order to facilitate the uptake especially at the beginning of the crop cycle. In addition, the right dosages, tailor-made compositions (NP+ micro) and production know-how of Umostart to reach and maintain the right concentration of P in the soil water close to the root system.

Established in 2010, Sipcam Agro China was a subsidiary of Italian company Sipcam, and committed to be a practical, creative, and efficient local company. It will introduce and develop a series of cost-effective solutions of crop protection and plant nutrition, which are embodied of advanced formulation technology, high quality formulations, and price strategy suitable to Chinese market. “Sipcam is about to build a fertilizer factory in China, to expand our fertilizer market share in China.” Dr. Marco, global technical manager of Sipcam group, told Agropages.
