AgroPages-EU allowed provisional approvals extension for three new ais-Agricultural news

The European Commission has decided to extend provisional authorizations for three new active ingredients, Isagro’s fungicides benalaxyl-M, and valifenalate and Cheminova’s insecticide gamma-cyhalothrin until the completion of EU registration process. Member States would be given provisional authorizations granted for products containing these active ingredients concerned for a period of 24 months, until on 31 October 2013.

Portugal received an application from Isagro IT for the inclusion of the active substance benalaxyl-M in Annex I to Directive 91/414/EEC, the UK received an application from Pytech Chemicals GmbH for the inclusion of the active substance gamma-cyhalothrin and Hungary received an application from Isagro SpA for the inclusion of the active substance valifenalate.
