United Phosphorus acquires UK chlorpropham business

United Phosphorus (UP) has acquired the plant growth regulator, chlorpropham, business of the UK-based company Whyte Agrochemicals. Whyte sells a range of chlorpropham-based potato sprout inhibitors in the UK. United Phosphorus claims to be one of the largest producers of the active ingredient globally. It recently acquired Offshoot, a chlorpropham-based tobacco growth regulator, from DuPont.
