Pakistan and Turkmenistan to cooperate in wheat, cotton and rice research

The ambassador of Turkmenistan, Sapar Berdiniyazov and Chairman of Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), Dr Muhammad Afzal discussed that Pakistan and Turkmenistan will cooperate in the field of agricultural research.
The ambassador said that the agricultural delegation of Pakistan would participate in the joint commission meeting to be held in Ashgabat in September, 2011.
He said that Pakistan and Turkmenistan can cooperate in cotton research, development and exchange of cotton germplasm, exchange of experience on selection and certification of seeds and also initiate cooperation in the field of seed growing, registration and quality evaluation of seeds of wheat, cotton, rice and other agricultural crops.
Chairman PARC assured the ambassador of Turkmenistan that PARC will provide all possible assistance to Turkmenistan in the field of agricultural research, training in the field of agriculture and exchange of cotton germplasm.
