DuPont Crop Protection has received approvals for two Rynaxypyr (chlorantraniliprole) insectides, Altacor and Coragen, on a number of fruit and vegetable crops in the US and Canada.
The products, which already are registered in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Romania, are also under joint review in the EU, Australia, and New Zealand.
Altacor is a 35% WDG formulation which has been approved for use on grapevines, pome and stone fruit, cotton, and potatoes. Coragen is an SC formulation for fruiting and leafy vegetables including potatoes, brassicas, cucurbits, lettuce, tomatoes, and peppers, while DPX-E2Y45 20 SC is for turf. The products are effective against Lepidoptera, leafminers, and various coleopterans, according to DuPont. Altacor has recommended application rates of 145-285 g/ha, Coragen can be used at 250-375 ml/ha, and DPX-E2Y45 at 145-1,125 ml/ha.
