image.pngAzotic Technologies, global leaders in sustainable nitrogen solutions for agriculture, is pleased to announce the granting of new patents in Australia and the Philippines.


The patents are for strains of the bacterium Gluconacetobacter diazotrophicus (Gd), a bacteria characterized by unique sequences associated with the ability to colonize plant cells intracellularly, but include the use of any nitrogen-fixing bacteria for that purpose. Branded as Envita™ in major global markets, Gd based products are applied currently as a seed soak in rice, or as foliar or in-furrow application across a wide variety of crops including corn, soybeans, rice, wheat, canola, potatoes, sugar beets and others.


Azotic intends to continue the expansion of its IP library of patents as it expands its commercial sales around the globe.

Envita is a systemic nitrogen fixing solution for all crops including corn, soybeans, rice, wheat, canola, potatoes and other crops, by fundamentally changing the nitrogen equation on farms. Applied as a seed soak in rice, or as an in-furrow or a foliar spray on many crops, Envita works from within plant cells to fix atmospheric nitrogen and close the gap between nitrogen need and availability. Air is 78% nitrogen and Envita bacteria naturally metabolize N directly from the air, providing a steady source of nitrogen when and where the plant needs it most, all season long, thereby reducing the reliance on the use of synthetically produced nitrogen.
