Warrick Chudleigh joins Canterbury Seed Company

The Managing Director of Canterbury Seed New Zealand, Craig Carr, has announced that Warrick Chudleigh has joined Canterbury Seed in a newly created role of Business Development Manager, based in Sydney, Australia.

Warrick Chudleigh has had an extensive involvement in the Horticultural industry, as a grower, then into technical sales, marketing, as well as product and general management. He started his career as a commercial vegetable and flower grower in New Zealand. He joined Yates New Zealand as a technical sales representative, and then became a product manager. He was transferred to Australia and became the General Manager of Yates Vegetable seeds.

More recently Warrick was commissioned to set up Apex Seeds, utilizing his product knowledge and strong international and local network of suppliers and customers which has been built up over 40 years.

Warrick says “he is excited by the opportunity to contribute to a truly motivated team at Canterbury Seed, who are internationally recognized for their expertise in the field of pea, forage and vegetable seed production and multiplication”. Since purchasing the company two years ago, Craig Carr and his enthusiastic team have revitalized Canterbury seed into a significant seed production company in NZ with a real focus on producing quality seed and excellent customer service.

Craig says “with Warrick joining the company; not only will his wide range of knowledge and industry contacts be a real asset but he will make a significant contribution in developing our seed business into new and exciting ventures.
