FMC introduces first-ever Talstar aerosol product

The aerosol product delivers fast knockdown and long-lasting residual control of bed bugs, spiders, fleas, ticks and more than 40 additional pests, FMC reports.

Pest management professionals (PMPs) will get the proven power of Talstar with the convenience of an aerosol when they use new Talstar insecticide (active ingredient: bifenthrin) from FMC Professional Solutions, a business unit of FMC Corporation. The innovative aerosol product delivers fast knockdown and long-lasting residual control of bed bugs, spiders, fleas, ticks and more than 40 additional pests.

"For years, PMPs have requested an aerosol product as effective as Talstar, the number-one trusted brand of insecticide,” said Rick Ekins, director of marketing, FMC Professional Solutions. “Their requests have now been answered with new Talstar insecticide. This powerful aerosol has a broad label and is approved for use in multiple sites, indoors and out, and in industrial, commercial and food-handling areas.”

Talstar insecticide is formulated to provide effective knockdown activity. But it also offers the long residual control that supports a typical PMP quarterly service model. In addition, Talstar insecticide is a water-based formulation, so it does not leave oily residues, FMC reports.

Available in a 16-ounce aerosol can with a convenient injector tip, Talstar insecticide offers improved penetration, coverage and efficacy. The product is ideal for use in crack-and-crevice treatments, where insects may be harboring or breeding.

"Talstar insecticide is a valuable addition to the growing portfolio of aerosol products now offered by FMC,” continued Ekins.
