India CIBRC 429th meeting updates

The 429th Meeting of the Registration Committee (RC) was held under the Chairmanship of Dr. S. K. Malhotra, Agriculture Commissioner & Chairman, Registration Committee on 24.06.2021, 28.06.2021 and 30.06.2021 at 10:00 Hrs onwards through NIC video conference.

At the meeting, 66 registrations of pesticide technical and 27 formulation products, including 23 herbicides, 29 insecticides/acaricides, 24 fungicides and 17 bio-products got approved.

As to the chemical products, Bispyribac sodium 95% TC got the most 5 registrations.

As to the bio-products, Pseudomonas fluorescens 1% WP got the most 5 registrations.

As to the holders, Crop Life Science, Globex Agri Science and Ichiban Crop Science got the most 5 registrations, Dow AgroSciences India and Agrisol (India) got 4. 

• 9(3) Approvals – 429th RC Meeting (CIBRC) India:

BASF India, Dow AgroSciences India, Rallis India, Indogulf Crop sciences, Crop Life Science, Coromandal International, Nova Agri Tech, Pratik Industries, Isagro(Asia) Agrochemical, GSP Crop Science, Krishi Rasayan Export, Krishi Rasayan Export, Insecticides India, Goel Chemicals IRM Enterprises and many other companies got approvals in different categories.

BASF India has got one approval under section 9(3) for-

Dow Agroscience India has got four approvals under section 9(3) for-

-Haloxyfop R Methyl Ester Technical 94% w/w for 9(3) Technical Import (TI) category

-Halauxifen-methyl technical 93% w/w min for 9(3) Import (TI) category

-Halauxifen-methyl 20.8% + Florasulam 20.0% WG for 9(3) Formulation Import (FI) category

Rallis India has got one approval under section 9(3) for-

-Hexaconazole 0.5% w/w GR for 9(3) Formulation Indigenous Manufacture (FIM) category

Crop Life Science has got two approvals under section 9(3) for-

-Beauveria bassiana 1.15% WP for 9(3) Formulation Indigenous Manufacture (FIM) category

-Pseudomonas fluorescens 1.0% WP for 9(3) Formulation Indigenous Manufacture (FIM) category

Coromandel International has got two approvals under section 9(3) for-

-Hexythiazox 3.5% + Diafenthiuron 42% WDG for 9(3) Formulation Indigenous Manufacture (FIM) category

-Acephate 50% + Fipronil 5% WDG for 9(3) Formulation Indigenous Manufacture (FIM) category

Indogulf Crop Science has got one approval under section 9(3) for-

-Difenoconazole 95% TC for 9(3) Technical Import vs Technical Indigenous Manufacture (TI vs TIM) category

• 9(4) Approvals – 429th RC Meeting (CIBRC) India:

ADAMA India, Ichiban Crop Science, NACL Industries, Crop Life Science, UPL, Indogulf Crop Science, Aristo Biotech & Life Science, BASF India, Bharat Insectide, Agrow Allied Ventures, Dhanuka Agritech, Globex Agri Science, Anupam Rasayan India and other has got many approvals in a different category.

-Pyriproxyfen technical 98% w/w min for 9(4) Technical Indigenous Manufacture (TIM) category

-Thiacloprid technical 97% w/w min for 9(4) Technical Indigenous Manufacture (TIM) category

-Metribuzin technical 88% w/w min for 9(4) Technical Indigenous Manufacture (TIM) category

-Buprofezin technical 98% w/w min for 9(4) Technical Indigenous Manufacture (TIM) category

More details are as follows:

Above-mentioned registrations can be taken under two broad categories of registration viz.

• 9(4) Me-too Registration: This is for product and source, which are already registered in India. 9(4) is the easiest method of registration and if all the documents submitted with CIB are in proper order, then registration is issued within 6 months of making the application.

• 9(3) New Registration: This registration is for products or sources, which are not registered in India yet. Any first time registration of a molecule or of a source will be under this category. New registrations can be of:

o 9(3) – TI New Molecule: Technical import registration for a new Molecule, which is never registered in India for Import.

o 9(3) – TI New Source: Technical import registration for technical already registered in India for Import, but a new overseas manufacturer also wants to register itself as an authorized source for exporting the molecule to India.

o 9(3) – FI New molecule: Formulations, which are to be directly imported to India, in finished form.
