The Agrogalaxy group, a company from the Aqua Capital Investment Fund, announced the purchase of Boa Vista, one of the main distributors of agricultural inputs in Mato Grosso do Sul.

The company joins the group's portfolio, which recently received Cade's approval and was born as the largest platform for the distribution of inputs and operations with grains in the country.

Founded in 1996, Boa Vista now has six stores located in the main producing areas of the state in Maracaju, Dourados, Ponta Porã, Jardim, Rio Brilhante and Sidrolândia, with 26 agronomists in the field. There are also six branch managers and nearly 100 employees. The company is recognized and respected throughout the region, mainly for the quality of its services and performance which is very close to rural producers. The acquisition now depends on Cade's approval.

The acquisition aims to reinforce Agrogalaxy's presence in one of the main grain-producing states in the country. Among the company's projects are the expansion of Boa Vista and Agro 100 stores in the region, with the forecast of reaching 14 stores by the end of this year. In addition to the distribution of chemicals, corn and soybean seeds, and fertilizers, Boa Vista will invest in growing beans during the off-season.

According to the National Supply Company (Conab), in 30 years, the state of Mato Grosso do Sul grew 150% in the agricultural area, originating from degraded pasture areas, 135% in productivity and 437% in production. In the 2019-2020 season alone, 19.9 million tons of soy and corn were produced, which represents an 8.6% increase compared to the previous harvest. Mato Grosso do Sul also registered an increase of 3.1% in its area, totaling 5,029.2 hectares.

The purchase of Boa Vista is in line with Agrogalaxy's main objective of being the largest retailer in the rural sector, generating value for the Brazilian producer, employees, communities, the environment and shareholders.
