Qilu Pharmaceutical’s green biopesticide phase 1 project put into operation in Hulun Buir, Inner Mongolia, China

After 15-month intensified project implementation, the opening ceremony of running of Qilu Pharmaceutical’s green biopesticide phase 1 project, with a total investment of Yuan3 billion, was held in Qilu Biological Industrial Park, Arun Banner, Hulun Buir, China, on August 17, 2020.


The opening ceremony was participated by Mr. Song Baoan, an academician and President of Guizhou University, Deng Zixin, an academician and President of School of Life Science and Technology of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Zhu Enlin, Deputy Director of Planting Department of Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Zhou Puguo, Director of ICAMA of Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Liu Shirong, President of China Academy of Forestry Sciences, Wei Qiwen, Director of National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center, Sun Shubao, President of China Crop Protection Industry Association, Bai Hailin, Vice Mayor of Hulun Buir Municipal Government, Li Botao, Board Chairman of Qilu Pharmaceutical Group and President Li Yan, as well as guest participants from all circles.


Qilu Pharmaceutical's green biopesticide and veterinary drug project in Hulun Buir is a key project of Qilu Pharmaceutical Group. The phase 1 of the project focuses on technical innovation, targeting at industrialization of high efficient, low toxic, low residue, high biological active and high selective biopesticides, which will contribute to China’s novel pest control applications to the benefit of agricultural and animal husbandry industry safety and the food safety in China. After the project is fully completed, it will become the largest green biopesticide production base in the world.


With the completion and running of the phase 1 project, Qilu Pharmaceutical is now in possession of capacity of over 1,500 tons of spinosad, having become the largest spinosad manufacturer in the world.
