Lost for a targeted, in-crop solution to wild oats, phalaris and annual ryegrass, many wheat and barley growers found the answer with AXIAL® upon its registration in 2006.

New AXIAL XTRA builds upon this confidence, providing the same renowned crop safety, with improved activity on key weeds.

It’s all thanks to the new formulation, featuring built-in advanced adjuvant technology.

This new and improved formulation of AXIAL XTRA contains 50g/L Pinoxaden + 12.5g/L Cloquintocet-mexyl.

The built-in adjuvant system also eliminates questions about what to add to the mix.

Syngenta Senior Product Lead Garth Wickson said AXIAL XTRA represented a significant step-change in adjuvant science and technology, helping boost the herbicide’s uptake in grassy weeds.

“These ‘Xtra’ benefits mean a faster brown-out of treated weeds, reducing crop competition and limiting their potential to set seed,” he said.

“It also means increased activity against key grasses, even under sub-optimal conditions, and when compared to other Group A herbicides. Then there’s AXIAL XTRA’s improved compatibility with broadleaf weed herbicides, and the potential to tank mix products, ensuring optimal timing and efficiency of field applications.”
