The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Indian fertilizer production capacity has been widespread and met with either complete shutdowns or cuts in operating rates.
Fertilizer plants across India are facing logistical constraints because of road closures, not enough truck drivers to make deliveries of finished product leading to building inventories, as well as a labour shortage at production plants.
