The FMC recently achieved an extension of the registration for two insecticides of the company: Avatar®, to promote protection and provide a long control period for the management of caterpillars such as Spodoptera, and Benevia®, to provide high efficiency on whiteflies control with multiple action, also being able to control caterpillars.
"These achievements reinforce FMC's commitment toward innovations that contribute to increasing productivity, profitability and sustainability in the field, bringing even more convenience and efficiency to growers. Agriculture is in our DNA, and by understanding the business of our customers, we provide solutions for the most diverse challenges," said FMC's Product Marketing Manager, Luis Grandeza.
With the extension, Avatar®, which previously served cotton, corn and soybean crops, has now obtained registration for beans, peanuts, peas, chickpeas and lentils, allowing farmers to have another tool to control Chrysodeixis includens. Benevia®, in addition to being registered for cotton, coffee, beans, soybeans, and tomatoes etc., also serves onion, garlic and shallot crops.
