AgroPages-China pesticides sales up 24.7% in October-Agricultural news

During the month of October 2010, the Chinese pesticide industry has achieved sales of 3.96 billion Yuan, up 24.7% year on year. Cumulative sales for the period of January to October 2010 were 43.29 billion Yuan up 20.4% year on year, reports Agropages.

By categories, the cumulative sales were 38.19 billion Yuan and 5.11 billion Yuan for chemical pesticides and biopesticides, up 19.6% and 26.4% year on year respectively. the share of biopesticide in total sales was 11.8%, up 0.6% year on year.

The sales-output ratio in October was 96.5%, down 2% from last month. Cumulative sales-output ratios from January to October were 96.8% and 95.7% respectively.
