Cynda Chemical: Clethodim appears promising, new product to open up great market potential

ChinaCynda Chemical is very aware of the importance of innovations and the company has a strong innovation capability. Cynda Chemical currently possesses two new compounds – quinotrione and methyl quinotrione. These compounds are used in sorghum herbicide. Cynda Chemical is now planning new launches of three to five innovative compounds in the years ahead.
The main businesses of Cynda Chemical are currently distributed in Binzhou and Weifang. The production capacity of the company at this moment is restricted due to limited land resources and correctional action being taken in Shandong’s chemical parks. The production base in Huludao is expected to lay a solid foundation for the long-term business development of the company. In April 2018, Cynda succeeded in a bid for the acquisition of 40 hectares of land within Huludao Economic and Technical Development Zone, which will be used for the construction of a clethodim project. The Huludao base will be constructed in three phases, where phase 1 will need an investment of 770 million yuan, to be spent on the establishment of an annual 6,000-ton technical material and 10,000-ton formulation production facility. Upon the completion and full operation of phase 1, average annual sales of 1.5 billion yuan with a net profit of 190 million yuan can be foreseen.
