BASF New Zealand Limited is seeking approval from New Zealand Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) to Revystar fungicide into New Zealand, for use against brown rust and other leaf fungi via ground-based and aerial application methods on cereal crops.

The fungicide contains two active ingredients, one of which – mefentrifluconazole (trade-marked as Revysol) – is new to New Zealand. Mefentrifluconazole has been approved for use in Europe, the USA and in Australia in 2019. The other active ingredient, fluxapyroxad (trade-marked as Xemium), is currently approved in New Zealand.
