Tec-Fort: An ecological insecticide from Grupo Agrotecnología, developed with Promicell Technology

Grupo Agrotecnología developed its new insecticide, Tec-Fort, based on its exclusive Promicell Technology.
Tec-Fort is a natural product with a broad spectrum and contains 2% pyrethrins sourced from the flowers, Tanacetum cinerariifolium sin and Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium Vis., better known as pyrethrum and Dalmatian pyrethrum.
Promicell Technology protects the pyrethrins present in Tec-Fort from rapid degradation caused by environmental factors, extending its period of action. This exclusive technology, combined with the use of specially selected pyrethrins, optimizes the formulation.
The pyrethrins are combined with various antioxidants, coadjuvants and other natural coformulants, in conditions and proportions that create a highly stable concentrate, and enabling the self-encapsulation of pyrethrins inside the capsules, through a lipid nature known as micelles.
The micelles, which are formed when the concentrated product is mixed with the amount of water necessary for correct field dosage, protects the pyrethrins from rapid degradation caused by ultraviolet rays by refracting them and avoiding direct contact.
They also give Tec-Fort a greater wetting capacity and affects a greater area covered by application volume, while not causing phytotoxicity, because Promicell Technology helps to produce homogeneity in correct doses. The lipid nature of micelles makes them compatible with the membranes of insect, facilitating absorption.
Once inside the insect, the pyrethrins affects their central nervous system and disrupts the transmission of nerve impulses, causing their deaths. In various tests, Tec-Fort achieved results that match the effectiveness of other natural products with 4% pyrethrins, due to the micelles that protect the pyrethrins from rapid degradation, lengthening their period of action and efficiency. Tec-Fort also a contact product with strong shock action on a broad range of pest insects, and is applied by foliar spray at a concentration of 0.7-1.5 cc / l, with a recommended treatment interval of seven days.
