Pinnacle Agriculture Distribution, Inc. ("Pinnacle"), a leading agriculture retailer, recently announced seven of its locations, Minden, Neb., Sutton, Neb., Opp, Ala., Urbana, Ill., Edson, Kan., Kerman, Calif., and Crowley, La. are now certified through ResponsibleAg, Inc.

Pinnacle joined ResponsibleAg, an industry-led organization focused on compliance with environmental, health, safety and security regulations at the beginning of 2019.

The ResponsibleAg Certification Program provides a voluntary comprehensive assessment of agricultural facilities that store and handle farm input supplies such as fertilizer, crop protection products and seed. Certification requires that a facility meet stringent regulatory-based criteria, implement industry-leading safety and security measures, and uphold facility safety.

"Protecting our employees, the community and the environment is our highest priority and we will not compromise this commitment to achieve any other objectives," said Rob Marchbank, Chief Executive Officer. "This commitment to operating safely goes beyond statistics - it means sending our employees home the same way they came to work every day."

"By joining ResponsibleAg we are continuing our commitment to our employees, our farmers and communities in which we operate to safely provide superior products and services and agronomic solutions," continued Rob Marchbank. "I am incredibly proud of the dedication our employees, in partnership with our Safety team, for gaining these certifications. This is another strong example of taking care of our employees as well as a recognition of their efforts and dedication to the protection of our employees, the community and the environment."

The ResponsibleAg certifications recently earned by the Pinnacle locations are the first step toward elevating Pinnacle above industry standards. With over 150 locations nationwide, Pinnacle has set an aggressive plan to certify 60 additional locations by the end of the year.
