Ecolibrum Biologicals has completed a strategic alliance and licence agreement with Coway BioWorks in Beijing China to allow CoBio to exclusively manufacture and sell the bio insecticide product, “Lateral” in the Peoples Republic of China. Lateral is derived from a novel New Zealand indigenous strain of Brevibacillus laterosporus discovered at Lincoln University to control Lepidopteran insects including but not limited to Diamond Back Moth, Fall Armyworm, Corn Earworm, Soybean Looper and European Corn Borer.
Coway Bioworks was established in 2009 after being incubated by International Technology Transfer Center (ITTC) of Tsinghua University and Cornell Center for Technology Enterprise and Commercialization (CCTEC) of Cornell University, invested by Coway International TechTrans Co., Ltd. and BioWorks, Inc., Beijing Coway BioWorks (CoBio) is a pioneer and thought leader within the Chinese Biologicals market and provides professional solutions in the field of organic plant protection and nutrition with their environmental friendly biological products and technology platforms.
