ADAMA has begun selling its insecticide Lingshan (buprofezin 40% SC) in the Chinese market , which is  used as an aerial applicant .

Buprofezin is one of the world’s most successful insect growth regulators for effective prevention and control of homopteran pests, being broadly applied to crop protection in more than 80 countries and regions across the globe. Buprofezin is a chitin inhibitor with a distinctive action mechanism and high selectivity, being safe to beneficial organisms under recommended dosages. It is used as an essential pesticide, with its   application rotated widely as a comprehensive pest control.

Buprofezin has a strong function due to its contact toxicity on homopteran pests, as well as certain functions of stomach toxicity. It is not systemic inside plants, but is capable of penetration, and is absorbed by foliage and sheath. When being used for control of nymphs, buprofezin can inhibit ecdysis, thus leading to the death of insects. Under normal application conditions, buprofezin is harmless to the majority of beneficial organisms. Buprofezin is applicable to a variety of crops, such as rice, citrus, apple, grape, mango, cotton, tea, eggplant and vegetables.

The insecticide Lingshan, released by ADAMA, is an optimized formulation developed by ADAMA’s Nanjing R & D Center, and allows for a full play of buprofezin’s distinctive features with  long-lasting effect and high selectivity. It is applied, using new pesticide-applying methods, such as aerial applications, and can be more adaptively used when mixed with conventional pesticides.
