Yinnong Technology launches glyphosate+saflufenacil mixture in China

ChinaKanjing’s speed of action is roughly between the speed range of paraquat and glufosinate, which takes effect on broadleaf weeds between two and three hours; the fast herbicidal action is a prominent feature of the product. In the meanwhile, Kanjing has a 60-day long-lasting effect; the lasting period makes the product extremely competitive because the reduction of one single application will enable a significant cost cut for farmers.
With the use of the ingredients of BASF, saflufenacil is effective to control over 300 broadleaf weeds, particularly effective to control the herbicide-resistant horseweed herb, while being capable of inhibiting grassy weeds. Saflufenacil has become a mainstream herbicide in the international market and its annual sales exceeded US$230 million.
According to Wu Zheng, General Manager of Yinnong Technology, glyphosate has a good effect on the control of broadleaf weeds with a long-lasting effect, while saflufenacil is obviously effective in the control of broadleaf weeds, which makes up for the inadequate fast action of glyphosate. The mixture of the two products complements each other and kills both broadleaf weeds and grassy weeds.
Kanjing is not impacted by temperature and can be applied in the cold spring season in northeast China and northwest China, as the application of glyphosate and glufosinate before spring sowing is not as effective. Now, this gap can be filled by Kanjing.
