Family Farms appoints Shari Rogge-Fidler as new CEO
Oct. 29, 2018
Family Farms LLC, comprised of FamilyFarms Group and related companies, serves a growing network of family farms. In January 2018, after 50 years' service to the world of agriculture, Allen Lash, founder and longtime CEO, announced his intention to retire upon appointment of a successor. The Executive Search Committee conducted a nationwide search and recommended Rogge-Fidler to the Board of Managers, which unanimously named her as CEO.
"I commend the Search Committee and the Board for their dedication in finding someone so well suited to be the next CEO of Family Farms LLC," said Lash, "I'm excited about Shari's passion, vision and leadership skills and how well they align with our mission of keeping families on the farm."
James Sladek, Chairman of the Executive Search Committee, added, "Shari brings a unique perspective to this leadership role. Her heritage with family farming means that she understands the day-to-day opportunities and challenges our members face. She has also worked and competed across the agribusiness world. We have found a leader ready to build on the success of the organization."
"I am thrilled to serve the employees, Board, and progressive family-owned farms that put Family Farms LLC at the forefront of shaping the future of our food system," comments Rogge-Fidler, "In my experiences on the farm, with food companies, and in agribusiness, I know how important the connection between food and farming is.
I am passionate about our mission to help family farms succeed. Our values of family, teamwork, integrity, innovation, and system sustainability drive everything we do. We are eager to partner across the food system to create shared value, strengthen family farming, and put healthy food on tables across America and around the world."
